So, after a hard day of skiing, we decided to have a little bit of easy fun by snow tubing the next day. This time I was determined not to be SO bundled up. Plus, I really felt like wearing my dark lipstick that totally would’ve clashed with my pink jacket. The snow slides for tubing weren’t at the top of the mountain where you ski, so it wasn’t going to be that cold.
I did however, wear my trusty layers.
– Capezio Ballet Tights: They’re thick AND made to be jumped and rolled around in….why not!? 😉
– Thermal: both top and bottom
– Nike dry fit long sleeve
For my top layer, I wore a plain grey fleece. It kept me very warm, but trust me…I’d like to go shopping for some cute snow clothes. 😦
But I did manage to sneak in some white fluffiness w/ a scarf & ear muffs
I had my layers, my ear muffs&scarf, my lipstick, I was having fun, but can you guess one thing I did not have to be the ultimate snow bunny???
The most important thing ever…..
That’s right folks, Miss CurlyShue herself w/ out the appropriate shoes for the fun snow day. Although I looked okay because I had athletic ski pants and my old Nike tennis shoes, I was not okay. My feet were getting wet from the snow! WHAAA! I was able to walk & stomp around because it wasn’t an icy day, but that didn’t stop my feet from feeling wet and cold. I desperately NEEDED snow boots!
Here are just a couple cute one’s I’ve seen. I’ve also seen Roxy-which happens to be one of my favorite brands-snowboard boots 😀
JUST found out about this Sorel company while writing this post…pretty cool..and PRETTY nice boots, people!!! Not sure what season these Joan of Arctics are, but finding them led me to this brand that I like and will def reco.
Lots of snow boot variety..and ya I want some, but who knows how often I’ll be in the snow. Stay tuned on that! 😉
