It all began in 1998, we were introduced into a world of fabulous through the lens of non other than Carrie Bradshaw. She has guided us through love, failed dating attempts, friendship, New York, and shoes. We have a connection with all those things and a connection with this character. To me, she is my friend, and whenever I am lonely, feeling blue, or just want to feel like entering in another world, I turn on Sex and the City. Carrie is so real, you forget she’s a character. Brought to life by the wonderful, talented Sarah Jessica Parker, I’d like to dedicate this blog post to her and her ability to step into her character’s shoes enabling us to actually live and feel the story of Carrie(which is what a good story teller and actor should be able to do).
Let’s not forget about some of the other characters she’s done a spectacular job! Here are my favorites:
Janey in Girls Just Want To Have Fun (1985)
C’mon the movie is about dancing 😉
Paula in Failure To Launch (2006)
I was OBSESSED with her hair cut in that film. AND that light pink dress on the film poster
Witch Sarah in Hocus Pocus (1993)
HALLOWEEN IS MY FAVORITE and it’s a tradition that my friends and I watch this movie every year! Plus, I can not get enough of Witch Sarah and her excitement.
So thank you, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY SJP! I hope you’ve had a fabulous day full of love, joy, and SHUES!
