Now you know I had to share with you guys some of the other chic people I met at the fashion career summit hosted by Cosmopolitan with the CFDA and Lancôme. My friend and Fashion PR daling, Monica, and I were being such the social butterflies, mingling with fellow fashionistas that were oh so sweet and talented.
It was so great to meet the brains behind CFDA social. Loved that her outfit not only consisted of a pencil skirt with ruffle trim(perfect for salsa dancing :p ), but that it was very shape and color focused! It’s different, and a bit retro which instantly makes it chic 😉
My mumsy is my bff, so always love to see mothers and daughters together while I’m out. The mumsy of this lovely girl, Cali, immediately started talking to me and I got to know such a talented design student.
The party couldn’t happen without music, now could it? DJ Kalkutta rocked all kinds of eye popping colors from her jacket to her jewelry and even her makeup bag.
And last but not least, this fabulous golden girl is part of a fashion designer duo alongside her sister. Pepper Jacques designs different collections all focused around being Made in NY- collections that are for fashion risk takers that still like to stay true to the classics, all while stunting!
They were both so enthusiastic to hear about my blog and to share their work. I had a sneak peak at a swimsuit that was suitable for any body type, which I IMMEDIATELY loved! Keep an eye out for it!
After the night was over, I was beyond grateful for the chance to put my Curly Shue personality to use and mingle/network with folks.
It’s just nice to chat and learn from different people. – Remember that 😉
